In 2017, I allowed a diverse selection of of beets varieties cross pollinate. In the future I plan to either select out new varieties or grow the population as a landrace while selecting for flavor and quality roots. These seeds are the first generation (F1) after the cross. I did not do any root selection before letting them cross.
This is a breeders mix. Breed your own beet varieties! Expect roots in several shades of red and golden as well as some striping. You should see both red and green leaves, and some yellow leaf stalks.
